Alden of Waterford Rehabilitation and Health Care Center will host a rubber Duck Race Thursday, October 15 at 2:00 p.m. at their facility in Aurora, Illinois. The Race, held in partnership with Aurora Fire Department and Soliel Salon and Day Spa in Aurora, features not only 1,000 rubber ducks, but also appetizers catered by the rehabilitation center’s professional chef, a cocktail hour featuring Alden’s signature wines, entertainment by Kaptain Karaoke, games for kids, the Aurora Police Department DARE Car and lots of prizes. A $500 prize goes to the owner of the winning duck. All proceeds from the Duck Race will benefit the Leukemia Research Foundation.
Ducks can be purchased for $5 in advance or on site until 2:25 p.m. on race day. The race begins at 2:30 p.m. Purchase a duck for $5 by calling 630-851-7266.
