16th Annual

ABC 7 Gibbons 5K Run,

3K Walk and Survivors' Strut

Welcome to the ABC 7 Jim Gibbons 5K Traffic Jam!
(formerly known as the ABC 7 Jim Gibbons 5K Run, 3K Walk and Survivors' Strut)

For 15 years, the ABC 7 Jim Gibbons 5K Run, 3K Walk & Survivors' Strut has proven itself as a landmark event in the Chicagoland area and is a major fundraiser for the Leukemia Research Foundation (LRF). The LRF looks forward to continuing the tradition as the ABC 7 Jim Gibbons 5K Traffic Jam. Each year on the third Thursday in June, more than 2,500 participants gather along Chicago's downtown lakefront to run, walk and raise funds in search of a cure for leukemia and lymphoma.

New this year, the LRF will host a 5K Fun Run in Wilmette, Illinois, in addition to the 3K Walk established in 2009 - operating simultaneously with the downtown Chicago event! The starting point will be the Wilmette Village Hall!
